AI-generated content is intriguing, powerful, and increasingly influential. There's no denying that it is a part of life as we know it - every Big Tech company has its own LLM and AI development team.

But with this power comes an urgent need for accountability and trust, especially as synthetic media like deepfakes become more sophisticated and accessible.

Enter deepfake detection solutions. There are a variety, but not all are equal.

In April 2025, X-PHY Inc., launched its Deepfake Detector to address this very problem. The company's CEO, Camellia Chan, shared her insights with DeepTech Times on a topic that hits close to home for governments, businesses, and everyday internet users: how do we safeguard truth in the age of AI? Her answer: proactive, real-time detection. No compromises.

Here's what she had to say about this pioneering solution:

“The X-PHY Deepfake Detector is powered by AI models trained specifically to catch synthetic media in real time. It uses several types of deep learning architectures, advanced AI models to detect visual irregularities, and long short-term memory networks (LSTMs) and gated recurrent units (GRUs) to track speech and motion patterns. These models work together through a “zero trust” scoring engine that flags anything suspicious.

Undoubtedly, having the ability to identify manipulated content on any platform in real-time basically feels like a necessity today - especially when we’re constantly fielding questions like “Is this real?” from parents, relatives, or even colleagues.

Yes, deepfakes are flooding our feeds, it’s becoming harder to tell what’s true and what’s twisted, and harder still to explain the difference to those less tech-savvy. Need? Yes, absolutely.
